As a Research Consultant (m/f/d), you will work within our Data Institute on challenging analytical projects focused on secondary data analysis and real-world evidence in the German healthcare system. You’ll work at the intersection of data, methodology, and strategic consulting—helping to generate well-founded insights for our clients from complex healthcare data—including in the context of AMNOG benefit assessments and market access strategies.
Beyond day-to-day project work, you’ll actively contribute to the further development of our analytical processes and help identify new project ideas and research approaches. We’re looking for a dedicated individual who combines expertise in quantitative methods, scientific rigor, and a passion for data-driven insights.

Your mission
- Preparation, analysis, and quality assurance of quantitative data from secondary data sources, including data management and code review
- Independently conducting real-world evidence analyses, including data extraction and operationalization from classification systems, as well as structuring variable lists
- Assisting in the development of research questions, evaluating the feasibility of analyses, and contributing to the creation of study protocols and analysis plans
- Conducting literature reviews and contributing to the preparation of publications
- Assisting with the preparation of real-world data for AMNOG benefit assessments and arguments for added benefit
- Researching project ideas, funding opportunities, data sources, and possibilities for the use of secondary data
- Participating in strategic and organizational development activities, as well as actively helping to shape and optimize internal processes
Your profile
- A degree in health economics, epidemiology, public health, statistics, medical informatics, economics, or a comparable field
- Professional experience or solid initial practical experience in data analysis, health services research, or real-world evidence
- Strong quantitative methodological skills, good to very good knowledge of R, and experience working with secondary data
- Knowledge of German classification systems (ICD, OPS, DRG, ATC, PZN, etc.) as well as the AMNOG process and the requirements of IQWiG and G-BA is a plus
- Openness to the use of new technologies, particularly AI-powered applications
- A structured, meticulous approach to work with strong analytical skills and a strong focus on quality
- High level of initiative, creativity in finding solutions, and strong problem-solving skills
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
